About the object
Plate depicting an anthropomorphic vulture with outstretched arms and wings, positioned in front of a wounded naturalistically rendered deer that is vomiting blood. The vulture wears a beaded necklace, a loincloth, and wristbands. The deer is male, as indicated by the visible genitalia. The scene probably represents a mythical episode.

- Good. The object was carefully restored, as the surface fills and areas of repainting are barely visible. It presents numerous impressions, apparently caused by roots, as well as grooves that have damaged the surface of the plate and its painted decoration and iconography. The grooves are mainly located on the exterior of the base. There are a few small areas of structural loss on both the body and the rim, as well as one chipped area. Several cracks and joined fragments are present, although the adhesive is not visible to the naked eye.
